Lynden Youth Sports organizes and facilitates a recreational soccer program for grades 1-12. Children from grades
1-12 who attend school or live in the Lynden School District (or surrounding areas) are welcome to register to play
soccer for 8 weeks in the fall.
The soccer coordinator will organize the registered players into teams based on their age/grade and gender.
Each team is allocated a coach, who will organize one practice session per week for his/her team.
The practice sessions usually begin 2 weeks before the season starts (first Saturday after Labor Day) and every
week during the 8-week season. All games are played on Saturdays – at Bender Fields.
How to get involved:
As a Player:
Click on the application tab and either sign-up online or print off an application form and mail it into LYS
– and we will place you on a team. Be sure to get your application in by the cut-off date as there are no guarantees
we can still place you on a team after this deadline. Towards the end of August your coach will phone you – to let
you know when your first practice will be.
As a Coach:
We are always looking for volunteer coaches (or assistants) for all grade groups.
You can email your interest to
soccer@lyndenyouthsports.com to get in
touch with the soccer coordinator: Senior project students are welcome to apply.
